Top-speed limiters and reduced idle RPM deliver additional savings and safety to the 2015 Ford Transit
SANFORD, FL – February 19, 2015 – Derive Systems, the company that customizes the software of a fleet vehicle’s engine in order to save fuel, eliminate speeding and reduce emissions, today announced that their engine calibration software now works with the 2015 Ford Transit 3.7L and 3.5L. This new coverage allows commercial fleets, using the top-selling Ford Transit full-size van, to maximize savings and safety.
“Businesses select the Ford Transit because their fleets require a highly customizable vehicle,” said Tom Kanewske, Senior Director of Business Development at Derive. “Derive addresses the most significant portion of this customization challenge by delivering a focused engine solution that directly lowers bottom-line maintenance and fuel costs.”
Derive’s software solution for the Ford Transit includes:
- A top-speed limiter to deliver safety, eliminate speeding tickets and lower insurance costs.
- Reducing idle RPM by up to 30% to save on fuel and significantly improve mpg.
“At Derive, we realize that each industry operates the same vehicle differently. By understanding these differences, we are able to deliver a client-specific solution that addresses a fleets most significant budget drivers – fuel, maintenance and insurance,” added Kanewske.
